Jessica Ellen Cornish is an English performer and song writer who goes by the moniker Jessie J. Her music is renowned for its unique style that combines soul-soul vocals, pop electropop, and hip-hop, Jessie garnered much fame at a young age. Alongside her numerous awards, she has been nominated to receive the 2011 "Critics' Choice Brit Award" and the BBC's Sound of 2011". Her music career got underway in the age of 11 as Andrew Lloyd Webber cast her as a character in the musical Whistle Down the Wind. After that, she was a part of the National Youth Music Theater and was part of their 2002 production, 'The Late Sleepers'. The album she released her debut "Who You Are" was made available in February, 2011. It was her biggest hit that year. The album was an overwhelming achievement, selling ten thousand copies in the UK and three thousand copies across the US within the first week after its publication. It topped the charts at no. 2 on the UK Albums Chart and number 11 on the US Billboard 200. Jessie has also earned a reputation as a charitable person and participates in charitable organizations including 'Children in Need,' and "Comic Relief."
